Toyota published a patent last week which states that their cars will come with built-in fragrance dispensers. It will dispense the user's favorite scent by detecting them via their phone.
It also has a deodorizer to remove the smell if you don't want it to linger in the car when left alone.
However, if the car detects an 'unauthorized engine start' the dispenser will blast tear gas at the person - or people - in the car.The patent also states that it can store one type of fragrance at a time. Well technically two, the other being Eau de Tear Gas.
However, don't expect to be sitting in your new Toyota with a weaponized fragrance dispenser just yet. The patent is still fairly new and it's unknown if the company will actually equip their cars with these... unique dispensers.
But if they do, it might just be regular fragrances for now.
